cantor-backend-maxima software package provides Maxima backend for Cantor, you can install in your Debian 7 (Wheezy) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cantor-backend-maxima
cantor-backend-maxima is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cantor-backend-maxima package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cantor-backend-maxima *
You will get with cantor-backend-maxima package name, version, architecture and description in a table
